Dr. Arcelia M. Guerson-Gil obtained her medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Baja California. She completed her internship and residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Jacobi Medical Center and her fellowship at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University.

Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, Dr. Guerson-Gil has had extensive training in the treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, colonic polyps, colon cancer, esophageal disorders, motility disorders, liver diseases, pancreatic disorders, and many other areas of gastroenterology. She believes the fact that she is bilingual helps her serve the Hispanic community.

In her free time, Dr. Guerson-Gil enjoys playing golf, traveling, and simply spending time with her family.
