Dr. Benjamin Weinberg is a board-certified fellowship-trained gastroenterologist. He has extensive training in the treatment of colon polyps, colon cancer, liver disease, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatic disorders, motility disorders, gastrointestinal bleeding, and many other GI conditions.
Dr. Weinberg completed his undergraduate and pre-med studies at Dartmouth College, where he majored in fine arts with a focus on oil painting. He went on to earn his medical degree at Boston University. Dr. Weinberg completed his Internal Medicine residency training at UCLA San Fernando Valley followed by his gastroenterology fellowship training at UCLA.
His numerous research studies have been published in peer-reviewed medical journals – and he has served as a peer reviewer for research journals. He has also presented and lectured nationally on a variety of GI topics.
Dr. Weinberg has been honored with numerous awards, a Super Doctors Rising Star for gastroenterology and as a "Top Doc" in the American Registry. Earlier recognitions include the UCLA Solomon Scholars Award for Outstanding Achievement in Research, the UCLA San Fernando Valley Program for Outstanding Resident in Teaching Award, and the UCLA San Fernando Valley Program Scholarly Achievement Recognition Award.
When he’s not working, Dr. Weinberg enjoys spending time with family, as well as oil painting, drawing, fly-fishing, and exercise.
