Dr. Kao obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Riverside, his master’s degree from University of Southern California and his Medical Degree from Western University of Health Sciences. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Southern California + Los Angeles County Medical Center, and his fellowship at Loma Linda University.
Board-certified in gastroenterology, Dr. Kao has had extensive training in the treatment of colon polyps, colon cancer, liver diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, esophageal disorders, pancreatic disorders, motility disorders, gastrointestinal bleeding, and many other areas of gastroenterology.
In his free time, Dr. Kao enjoys playing basketball and golf, watching his kids in youth sports, quality time with his family, tinkering, and a nice cup of coffee.
